Main Features
Organize
Organize your most important data using extensible and color-coded categories. Each category contains a set of fields
that are used to store different pieces of information. Think of a category as a template for storing a specific type of
information, such as Website Passwords. You define the template and then use it to create new entries.
info.xhead comes with many built-in categories for storing Bank Accounts, Software Keys and Website Passwords that you can start using right away.
|
Fully Customizable
Create your own categories to store any kind of data. You can even customize an existing category to add fields,
delete fields, rename fields, or rearrange the order in which they're displayed.
|
Flexible View
Customize how data is displayed: Choose the font size, adjust the spacing between fields, even change the
width of field labels to accomodate long field labels.
|
Secure Database
Rest easy knowing that info.xhead uses 448-bit Blowfish encryption to safeguard your sensitive data. A password you
provide is used to encrypt the database on disk and secure access to the application. You'll be happy to know that
your password is never stored on disk (or anywhere else for that matter), just in your head.
|
Hidden Fields
Don't want anyone taking a peek at your data while the application is open? Mark any field as hidden and obscure the text with
bullets. Text in that field will only be revealed when you hover your mouse over it.
|
AutoLock
To keep your data secure even when the application is running, info.xhead can automatically lock itself after a configurable period
of inactivity, when your computer goes to sleep, or when a user switch occurs.
|
AutoFill
Take the work out of logging into websites and have info.xhead do it for you. With a single click, it will launch Safari,
go to the website, and automatically fill out the username and password fields. And if you want to, it'll even click the "Login"
or "Submit" button for you. All you have to do is click the magic AutoFill button. Sweet.
|
Quick Searches
Use the live search box to quickly find what you're looking for. You can search the entire database or a specific category. Every
field is searched (in case-insensitive fashion) so anything and everything that matches your search text is found.
|
Spotlight Ready
Use the Spotlight menu to quickly find an entry in info.xhead by name. For quick website logins, you can have info.xhead
automatically initiate AutoFill when an entry is opened from Spotlight.
|
One-click Copy
Don't waste time selecting text and choosing Edit > Copy. Just click the field label and information in that field is swiftly
copied to the clipboard. It doesn't getting any easier or faster.
|
.Mac Integration
If you have a .Mac account, you can use the built-in Backup feature to backup the database to your iDisk. Got multiple computers?
Backup the database to your iDisk on one computer, and retrieve it from another computer.
|
Data Import
Import data into info.xhead from CSV (Comma-separated Value) or Tab-delimited files. A flexible import mechanism gives you
precise control over how data is imported.
